  • Spell check is shifting the type of spelling errors students make: compound words are a thing of the past: with out, every one, some times #
  • Need a way to keep track of workflow / to-do items using a cloud. Outlook with PlanPlus syncing is a headache #
  • Thinking about Google Wave for workflow to-do tasks: http://bit.ly/4kcrFD #
  • Not sure about FranklinCovey Plan Plus Online http://bit.ly/buIXmw #
  • Great speech to use as a public speaking example – Chimamanda Ngozi breaks stereotypes – strong speaker – http://bit.ly/HTIN9 #
  • Finally figured out why our class site was running so slowly when more than 3 students tried to log in simultaneously: problem with the cdn. #
  • We used W3 Total Cache wordpress plugin with maxcdn. Something was set up incorrectly – pages took 8-10 minutes to load at school. #
  • Turned off the Content Delivery Network (MaxCDN) in W3 Total Cache wordpress plugin and pages were back to normal: seconds to load. Wierd. #
  • Trying to disable name changes in buddypress so students can't impersonate others / cause database problems: http://bit.ly/dfCE02 #
  • Trying to disable students editing their user profiles in wordpress mu: http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic/18115 #
  • Disable buddypress profile fields for the entire site or via user choice using wordpress plugin: http://bit.ly/aNZK3E #

  • How to remove some default profile fields from wordpress user profile: http://bit.ly/cNlVS8 #
  • Disable wordpress user profile completely but it's not pretty. Admins can still edit users but can't view own profile http://bit.ly/cMf3fp #
  • hacks to hide some user profile fields in wordpress: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/296841 #
  • hack to remove email field from user profile in wordpress: http://wpmudev.org/project/wpmu-hide-email-field #
  • Remove bio field from wordpress user profile: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/401295 #
  • Great wordpress plugin that makes it easier to figure out from the backend how many comments a student user has left http://bit.ly/5NOHz #
  • Import user profile data (CSV) using CIMY User Manager wordpress plugin but add an extra field at the end so it works http://bit.ly/cVsTYy #
  • Show student post and comment count: User LIst plugin http://bit.ly/VJ59i but you'll have to tweak it to show comments: http://bit.ly/dAiVYV #
  • Custom fields created with CIMY Extra Fields are in a different table. The fields don't show up with other plugins http://bit.ly/aaHbsm #
  • CIMY Extra Fields apparently won't work with Amr User List http://bit.ly/aLUOXx #
  • Register Plus WordPress plugin allows you to create custom fields… but not bulk upload user data in a csv like CIMY Extra Fields. Pity. #
  • ameta-list.php line282: email with cimy:
    $value = get_cimyFieldValue($u->ID, 'Extra Field Name');
    return cimy_uef_sanitize_content($value); #
  • We don't need to use student emails in our Amr User Lists anyway. It's more interesting to pull custom fields from Cimy Extra Fields. #
